Re-food 4 Good – Associação, a non-profit association, was founded on the 18th of July, 2011 to serve the REFOOD MOVEMENT in Portugal.
On the 15th of April, 2013, the Portuguese Government, through the Ministry of Employment, Solidarity and Social Security (Ministério do Trabalho, Solidariedade e Segurança Social) bestowed the status of IPSS – Instituição particular de solidariedade Social), that is, a “Private Institution Serving the Public Good” and bestows both added responsibility and tax advantages for donors.
Refood 4 Good is the first legal entity founded to serve the Refood Movement and its mission is to Portugal. Legal entities have also been founded in Spain, Italy and in Virginia (USA), to serve and support the Refood Movement in those countries and states.
